Um can someone say ignored?
Hello! Wow it has been a while since this blog has seen any sort of love! I had to change the background from a Fall print to a Spring/Summer one! The reason you haven't seen much of me is because I blog a lot on my other blog... Girl Loves Glam. I will try to keep up with this one as much as I can too, but check my other one for more updates. Anyway..
Dave's school year is almost over. He has had so many great experiences that he will treasure forever. He has been talking a lot about how hard it will be to say goodbye to these kids. They mean the world to him. One thing he did recently was take some of his students to an Idaho Falls City Council meeting to propose a city motto. They have been learning about Idaho Falls all year and discovered that there wasn't a city motto. The picture above is from that meeting. It was really fun to see the city council member's reactions to these young kids trying to do something that hasn't been done in the 120 years that Idaho Falls has exhisted! The city council members loved Dave's class and his students were so proud of the work they had done. The city council will vote on the motto, and decide if they actually want to use it! It was so fun to see how proud Dave was of his kids. He is an awesome teacher.
We just got back today from SLC where we got to see Dave's cousin Hillary get married. It was really fun to see his extended family that we haven't seen for almost a year! The weather was just perfect outside of the temple. It was great to catch up with family members and enjoy the sunshine that we have missed so much!
Sadie is doing really well too. She is just as cute as ever. She loves our new house that we bought in January. She has a lot of space to run outside. She isn't so sure about our neighbors yet and loves to bark at them, but overall she is a happy camper here.
I am working at Retreat Day Spa and Salon in Ammon and I totally love it. Last week was crazy, busy but it was awesome! I wish I were that busy all of the time. Let me know if you want to come in, I always love more clients! The Farmer's Market starts this week where Dave and I will be selling my accessories, and he will be selling cotton candy for his classroom. We are excited for our new summer adventures there!

Guymon Update!
I have been ignoring this blog, I know! I feel like I need to update everyone on what is going on in our lives!
First of all, for Dave...
1. He is almost done with school!! He walks in April, and then he is doing his student teaching this summer so he will officially graduate in July!
2. He got his student teaching placement for a Magna, Utah 6th grade class! At first, he was put in a 1st grade class, but he had a teacher looking out for him and moved him to 6th grade!
3. He has been teaching in Idaho Falls 2 days a week in a 5th grade class and LOVES it! All of the students love him so much! He is an excellent teacher!
4. He has a interview with District 91 in Idaho Falls this month! Please pray for us! It is a tough time for teachers to get a job! He was told to take the first job he is offered so please pray that he will get an offer before student teaching.
McKenzie Update...
1. This month is my last month at Radiance Salon in Rexburg. It is pretty bitter sweet. I love the atmosphere of the salon, but I am so excited that we are getting over the Rexburg stage of orur life.
2. Artistry By McKenzie G is sold at Brittany Rae Boutique in Rexburg! I am so excited about this! It is a huge move for me and I am excited to find more places that will sell my items!
3. Artistry By McKenzie G is officially international! In the last month, I have had 2 international Etsy sales! One in Australia and the other in Singapore!
4. I cut my hair off! I had been growing my hair out for quite a while, and I finally decided to cut it! I love it! Once again, thank you Autumn!
The Guymon Update...
1. The weekend of April 10th, we are moving from Rexburg to Midvale, Utah in a weekend! We will be moving in with Dave's mom Nikki from April til the beginning of July.
2. We are hoping to be able to purchase our first home at the end of this year! Please once again, send us your prayers. We want this so badly!
3. We have been married for 1 year and 9 months! Craziness!
4. We are in love as ever!

The Sweet Life of Dave and Kenzie
Well, I feel like I should do a little update! There hasn't been anything extra exciting happening lately, but our life is always fun! I am now working at Seagull book again! I love it, it is such a fun job. I am now juggling 3 jobs, but it really doesn't feel like it. I really enjoy it, because Dave is so busy himself. He HATES his classes this semester, but he LOVES his calling and enjoys spending his free time building his spirituality which is so great! We hosted our first Family Home Evening for a group of ward members last night. As soon as they all left, I looked at Dave and said, "Wow! Do you feel like we just sent off 12 of our teenagers? I feel like a parent!" It was a lot of fun to get to know some of the ward members more. In 4 days, we will have been married for 1 1/2 years! That is so crazy! Time flies!!

Hair Accessories, Mini Golf, and Weddings!
During Dave's break from school we have been able to do quite a few really fun things! The first day he was out of school, we went to Twin Falls and celebrated my friend Whitney's wedding! It was so much fun! It was really awesome to see some friends from beauty school and get all caught up! Whitney looked BEAUTIFUL! All of the girls that wore my hair accessories at her wedding looked absolutely adorable! I am really blessed to have good friends that think of me when they need some accessories in their life!
Another really awesome thing I got to do, is to participate in my very first home party with McKenzie*G hair accessories! Things went really well! I sold quite a few accessories and I really enjoyed being able to get my name out a little bit more! I will be looking into getting a tax id number pretty soon to make this even more official!

We also went to the Riot Zone and played a round of Mini-Golf! It was a BLAST! I have never gotten a hole in one before in Mini-Golf, and I got two!!! One was on a fairly easy hole, but the other one was pure luck! It hit almost every side of that dang course before going in the hole, but once it went in, I started jumping up and down, and leaping all around the course! Luckily we were the only ones playing golf at the time! It was so much fun! Dave and I actually ended up tied! (technically I beat him by one, but there was a 6 stroke limit on a hole that he got 7 strokes, so I won!)
