Emerald Lagoon Suite!

My work had a bbq and they gave out prizes. I won a night's stay at a themed suite! Dave and I chose to stay at the Emerald Lagoon suite. It was so much fun. It had a king sized round bed, a HUGE jetted tub that filled up from the ceiling, a waterfall right by the tub, and awesome decorations! The hotel is just down the road from our house, but it really didn't feel like we were in Rexburg at all! It was such a fun date night. I want to do this more often! So fun!

Fackrell Reunion

This weekend was Dave's family reunion. It has been a tradition long before either of us were born! It is always in Mountain View, WY. It right by the house that Dave's grandma grew up in. It is a lot of fun to be with family. It was really cool because they made shirts for everyone to wear that were in remembrance of Dave's dad. It was really neat to see everyone walking around in them. We played lots of games, talked a lot, and laughed til our tummies hurt! It was so great to get to know everyone a little bit more. I totally feel like I am part of the family now. I really could notice the bonds that temple sealings bring to a family. Fackrell reunion is something that Dave looks so forward to every year. I am glad to have been able to go 2 years in a row now! It was so fun!

Parades, Baseball, and Ducks

We had such a fun time on the 4th of July! Dave and I slept at my parent's house and got up early with Payton and enjoyed the Idaho Falls parade. It was fun, but SO hot! Needless to say, we left a little early. But we still really enjoyed it! After the parade, my family had a BBQ. It was a blast! We played baseball in the back yard with my aunt and uncle, cousins, and Grandma Hill! It was so fun to see them all play! There were definately a lot of laughs! The fireworks were super fun too. We went to the same spot we went last year and it was a great view! We played cards for about an hour until the fireworks started. It is just fun to be surrounded by friends and family on holidays! Yesterday, Dave thought it would be fun to go feed the ducks some expired popcorn! (We got TONS of popcorn for our wedding!) When we first got there, there were only 2 ducks! Then all of a sudden, they quacked to their friends, and there were ducks coming out of the bushes EVERWHERE! It was really funny! I think ducks are so funny! I hope everyone had a great 4th!

Sparkler Fun!

I convinced Dave into buying some sparklers to celebrate the 4th of July season. I just love sparklers! I think they are so fun! The first night that we did them, was with my little brothers when they came over to have a sleep over. We had a blast and giggled a lot! Dave and I went out last night and had a little sparkler party at almost midnight and it was fun to just have the two of us in the middle of the parking lot acting like 4 year olds. I just love the 4th of July. I like to celebrate it kind of like Christmas, you have to celebrate not only on the 4th, but the days leading up to it! I hope everyone has a fantastic 4th of July! Oh, and here is a funny picture I took of my brothers when we got snow cones. It really cracks me up!

Sunny Day at Ross Park!

Today we had the opportunity to go to Ross Park (water park) and it was so much fun! The weather couldn't have been better! It was about 80 degrees or above the whole time! It was so nice to have some sun after all of the dang rain that has been stalking us! I got to wear my new swimming suit! It is a black, vintage inspired one piece. I just LOVE it! It was so fun to spend time with my family enjoying a relaxing time in the sun and splashing around in the water!

21st Birthday!

My birthday was on June 13th. It was so much fun! My family teases me a lot about how much I love my birthday, but it is just fun to enjoy the day and be with my family! I woke up and I opened up my presents from Dave.

He is so thoughtful. He got me some really cute clothes, accessories, and perfume! He knows me way too well! After that, we went to the movie Up in 3D. I have to say... I was bummed out by the movie! It wasn't as good as I was hoping for! Most Pixar movies make me laugh and laugh, but this one was not that way at all! It was more sad! But it didn't make the rest of my birthday sad! I went to dinner with my family to Plum Loco. I love that place. We used to go there a lot growing up and so it just reminds me of my family a lot. I opened presents from my family (they got me the cutest Betseyville luggage!) and ate cake and ice cream with them and my Grandma and Grandpa Grover. It was a really fun day! Thank you everyone for making it great!

First Year of Time...Now for the rest and eternity!

I know that this is a little late, but we celebrated our 1st year anniversary on May 17th! It was so much fun. On the 16th, we went to Sage Day Spa and got hot stone massages, then went to The Snake Bite for dinner! Dave gave me a pink beach cruiser! It is so cute! I named it Marvis. I thought it looked like a little old grandma's bike with my wicker basket and bell on it, so it needed an old lady name too! I gave him some fun shorts, some jeans, a shirt, and a book! On our anniversary, it was such a nice day outside so we went on a really fun picnic! We had sparking cider and cream puffs to make it extra special. It was really fun! I can't wait for the many more anniversaries to come! We have had a crazy year but we made it! We survived! I am so glad that we found each other!
