We are finally settled in SLC! It has been a long process, but things are finally looking up. Dave has been student teaching for 3 days now. It has been a total culture shock for him though. The first 2 days he has had 2 students expelled for violence and sexual harassment! This is a 5th grade class we are talking about here! He just keeps telling me that he definately isn't in an Idaho farm community anymore! I started working at the Redwood Road Seagull Book yesterday. I really like the people that I work with, it just don't feel like I really fit in. I am sure that I am going to start feeling a little more at home as time goes on, but being there really made me pretty homesick yesterday. Today is my day off and so far I am really enjoying it! I am creating hair accessories and will try out the gym here. Tonight Dave and I are going to the Jazz game. That should be a lot of fun! If anyone is in SLC I would love to meet up! Hopefully Dave will come home today and have his full class for the first time!

Moving is a hard adjustment. I hate moving, even after 8 times. You'll make friends and feel like you "fit in" eventually and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Magna is a rough area, but where there are difficult circumstances comes great opportunities to change lives. Plus, even if it does suck the whole time it'll only be for a few months, right??
I really hate moving. It was so hard when I moved to Salt Lake. I wasn't married at the time though so that made things even worse. But you'll definitely start feeling like you fit in soon! You're just so much fun to be around. Everyone's going to love you!
Kenz dear, I never did get comfortable there. It's a different world. I love Myelle and Mary though!
They are good people, it's just different there. word of advice ..don't ever tell them i taught you something and don't volunteer to fix the art.
I am so glad you are there for Marcus though.
I am sorry to hear about Dave's experiences too. I miss the more sheltered life of Idaho too :o)
we would love to see you and I know Katee would love for you to cut her hair. She is out of school after 2:30 and she usually has a car, Marc has her number.
We'd love to have you guys over for dinner sometime too.
love you.
Oh man it is scary getting to know your new surroundings. I do wish you the best of luck. Just like you said it will take time. Good thing we are never alone Heavenly Father is always with us! Hang in there my dear!!
